There is a lot to see and do in the local area. The cottages are near to the M42 and so can be used for visiting the National Exhibition Centre and the many attractions of Birmingham, whilst having a comfortable and tranquil place to retire to after a busy day.

This is also part of the National Forest. This is a very good family day out with lots of children's activities including a very good indoor play area and a Maize Maze which is open in the summer months.
The award winning Planters Garden Centre has an exciting two level rope course for the over 5's. The garden centre also has an excellent restaurant and is definitely worth a visit leading up to and during the Christmas period to view their exceptional seasonal decorations and gifts.
The Bullring, Birmingham
This is a very large shopping centre with every store that you could want. It is a very clean and relaxing place to shop and also has many food outlets.
Star City, Birmingham
A large complex comprising of a Vue cinema, climbing wall, lazer quest, food outlets, bowling, a genting club casino and a fair ground.

The Bosworth Battlefield railway line. Operates most week-ends and selected week days.
Pooley Heritage Centre
Set on the site of an old colliery, there are countryside and canal walks, woodland playground and visitor centre with light refreshments.
Norman castle and museum with rooms remaining from the 13th to the 18th century.

This hands on children’s farm is very close to Kingsbury Water Park.
